A busy Saturday at Petsmart, with the DKC dogs on their day out and the DKC cats running all over the Luvapet center. It was shaping as a usual weekend for DKC, but the day brought its surprise twist when Mirna Urquidez presented Claudia Bankston with a check. Mirna had selected DKC as her charity of choice at her workplace, and we were one of the winners! See the picture with Nancy Thomas, Mirna Urquidez, Claudia Bankston, Jeff Lee, Manager of Petsmart, and Juan Villamizar, one of the assistant managers, accepting the check.

But that's not the only way Mirna helped us. She adopted a dog from DKC, which Randy and Nancy had fostered, and she also fostered kitties she rescued that were adopted at Luvapet. DKC is very lucky to have Mirna Urquidez as a loyal fan and friend. We're also happy to work with these dedicated people at Petsmart, whose smiling faces you can see in the photos (after the jump).
