Jessie is a lucky girl - she was rescued by two DKC Volunteers while she was running loose in the parking lot of an apartment complex - she is ready to find a loving home.

She is very gentle and friendly with everyone and willingly comes right to you. Jessie is a hugger! She will stand on her hind legs, put her front paws around your waist and hug you, for real. She can't help herself, she's a people person. :-) With an ever wagging tail and smile on her face, she is eager to please and very much wants to be loved. The Volunteers who found her do not believe she had ever been in a car but once coaxed in with a few treats, she instantly became a pleasant traveling companion.

Jessie is a Cattle Dog, a breed that needs lots of exercise, loves companionship and activities that engage their body and mind such as tricks and sporting activities. They are one of the most intelligent dogs in obedience training. At home, Cattle Dogs are happy, affectionate and playful pets who develop a strong bond with their owners. They require very little in the way of grooming and usually do not shed.

She is very good in the crate, loves to go on walks and needs a home with a fenced in yard so she can get plenty of exercise. Jessie loves to fetch and is friendly with other dogs and loves to play with them given the chance.
