Chloe came to us from a kill shelter where her time was up – our Shelter director saw what a great girl she is and said the shelter would be happy to give her another chance to find the perfect home!!

Chloe has spent some time with a foster family and they report she is a wonderful companion dog. She loves being with her human friends and will follow you from room to room but doesn’t beg constantly for attention. Quiet and calm, her favorite thing is to just hang out with you. She loves her walks and is getting much better on a leash. She’s shy around other dogs and may not blend well in a family with an alpha female dog but she spent two weeks in a boarding kennel and by the end of her visit was playing well with a variety of dogs both large and small. Give her time to get acquainted with any pets you already have in your family. But she may prefer to be an only dog with a loving human friend.

If you visit her at the shelter she seems distracted and not too focused on a visitor. Don’t let that mislead you. As soon as you get her home she will come around and let you know how much she wants to be your best friend and companion. Her foster mom fell in love with her but doesn’t have room in her small yard for a third dog. She has faith that Chloe will find the right loving person to return the love and devotion that Chloe is ready to give.
