Puppy Dewey had a really bad night on May 23, when he was thrown over the 8 foot backyard fence of strangers, abandoned by his owners.
Fortunately, those strangers were Humane Society volunteers Ron and Mary, who knew to call us. For the first 3 days, Dewey was very scared, huddling in the corner and not letting them come close. But once he realized he was now in a safe and loving place, he absolutely blossomed. Dewey is a super-cute, happy, friendly and energetic 4-5 month old puppy. He weighs 10 pounds, is tan, and has a celebrity dog look-alike -- Bruiser, Reese Witherspoon’s dog in Legally Blonde.
He loves to zip around the yard at lightening speed, chase his ball, and play with his toys in his basket. Once he’s tired from that, he likes to cuddle in your lap, or be picked up and held for a tummy rubbing.
Ron and Mary report that in their time with Dewey he does not appear to be a digger or a barker, and he gets along great with their cats.
Dewey has a lot of love to give and only asks for a little in return.
