Louie is a happy, good-natured, lively blue leopard Catahoula dog. He has one beautiful blue eye and one brown eye (stunning!). Currently, he is about 40 lbs but will likely be about 50 lbs. He's affectionate, playful, and loves to be pet. True to the Catahoula working breed personality he will need exercise and attention. He likes to go for walks, have toys to play with, and needs something to do to stay busy. He would do really well in a house with a backyard.
Louie is currently in a foster home with a young child and is very loving, patient, and gentle with her but as a general rule it's always best to supervise dogs when with younger children. Louie is currently receiving obedience training and is learning fast. He already knows how to sit and stay, he minds very well and is eager to please.
Louie came to us from a kill shelter and is currently living in a
foster home with his sister who is adopted. Both his foster parents and the Humane Society are dedicated to finding him his forever home with a loving family.
Since Louie is not at the shelter, the best place to see him is at our weekly Adopt a Pet event. To find out more about him, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
