Buttons is a puppy approximately 13 - 15 weeks old (as of 2/27/09). We are not quite sure of her breed, but as of 2/14/09, Buttons weighs 10 lbs. She looks like she might be terrier/beagle.

Her arrival at the shelter is one of those stories that makes you shake your head. Our Kennel Manager arrived at 8:30a on a winter morning to find Buttons in our yard. Someone abandoned this tiny baby, when she was just barely 4 lbs, in our yard! On a cold night too!

Buttons' luck certainly changed that night. She now lives in a foster home and she loves to play with the other dogs and cats in the house. She's also learned how to jump through the doggie door. And, she's working on her doggie manners and making good progress on house-training.

She quite the active girl and will need someone who understands her puppy needs like exercise, house training, good dog manners, and chewing. Did I mention exercise?! As a puppy, so many things are new and exciting, this little love bug will want to be in all the action. But, the amount of attention you will need to provide is not unlike the patience you need with a human baby (only the time isn't as long!)
