LUCY

Lucy has had a rough beginning. She was living in the streets until December of last year. A group of kindhearted people was able to capture her, take her to the vet for a check-up and vaccinations. She had an injury to her left ear which was treated and is now totally healed.
She shares her life with a lady and another dog, but this is only a temporary situation. Lucy, who is totally healthy, is looking for her permanent home. She is a young dog with a lot to learn and experience. She is fearful of traffic noises and sudden sounds, but getting more used to them as time goes on. Because of her constant playfulness, a canine companion would be to her benefit, or an active outdoor family. She is crate trained and making great progress with her house manners. She enjoys having lots of toys, hard ones to chew on and soft one to shred. She travels well in the car. She has a hearty appetite. She eats twice a day and gets a greenie every morning while her mom is having breakfast. This is her way of brushing her teeth.
Lucy is a sweet Shepherd mix, weighing 35lbs, who is most deserving of a third chance. Because of her past history, the feeling of being wanted and being special must be reinforced. Her present mom loves her dearly, but due to her health can only commit herself to her older dog.
