Teddy has grown to 6 1/4 pounds (as of 6/16) and is healthy and feisty! He enjoys frequent play dates with his foster grandmom’s four dachshunds, who have taught him how to use a doggy door, how to bark at strangers outside the fence, and how to scamper and run and chase and play together. He absolutely loves other dogs, and humans, too. He’s a people person.
The doxies are also teaching him how to walk on a leash, and he is making spotty (ha, ha) progress on house-training, but we’re working on it.
Teddy needs pet parents with patience to help him learn his manners – someone who will love his crazy energy and basic puppy need to chew on everything in sight, put every single thing he finds in his mouth, and occasionally forget to wait to pee outside rather than inside. He's got such a charming personality that all this patience is well worth it.
Come see Teddy at Saturday Adopt-a-Pet, 11am-4pm Saturdays at Petsmart, Forest & Inwood. He’s living with his foster mom, so is not at the Shelter during the week. To ask other questions about Teddy, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
