Hi, my name is Maxx and I am almost 4 years old. I was surrendered by my owners due to no fault of my own. They have no time for me any more? I hope my new adopter will be committed to loving and caring for me for my lifetime. I deserve it! I am full of energy and like to run and play in the yard. I am dog friendly and am sharing a kennel with several other small dogs. I am particular about a few things. First, is eating by myself. I don't want anyone or any dog near my food. Second, is the vet and groomer. Getting poked, prodded, and groomed scares me a little. Do you blame me? My adopter should discuss options with veterinarian and groomer before visiting. Give me time to settle in and trust you before making outside visits. I need some time to decompress. I do love for my people to scratch me, hold me, and cuddle with me! Adoption: $200 helps with spay/neuter, microchip, shots, and heartworm prevention. All dogs should remain on heartworm prevention for life.
