WINNIE

Winnie is a Pekingese charmer who sadly found herself in a local kill shelter. One of our volunteers "borrowed" her for National Take Your Dog to Work Day and the shelter offered to relinquish her to DKC.
Winnie weighs 12 pounds, is house trained and ready to find a forever home. She likes to sleep on her back, with all four feet in the air ... and usually snores a little when she is in the position. She is a sweet, friendly little girl who has her summer hairdo now since she had to be shaved to remove her mats. But that plush coat will grow back and actually her summer bob is pretty cute.
Winnie likes taking walks and getting pets, she looks for love, but knows how to give it too. She's a friendly girl, but can be a little snippy, not unlike the Peke breed. As such, she would be a better fit in a home without small children.
Winnie is in a foster home, so if you want to see her, contact our Adoption Counselor at adoptions@dognkittycity.org to make arrangements - and if you adopt her, it'll be a Win-Win Winnie situation.
