Powder was just a puppy when she first came to us. Now she is a young adult, returned because a she didn't get along with a new dog that moved into the household.

This sweet girl is a Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog. She is very sweet and healthy. She is smart, active and a loving girl with piercing blue eyes that charm everyone she meets.

Catahoulas, natives of Louisiana, are known for being highly intelligent and energetic, and they thrive on interaction with people. They are excellent family dogs and need exercise every day.

Powder is not your ordinary dog, though. She's deaf – as white Catahoulas with often are – and has some tunnel vision, but neither of these stop her from being an absolute ray of sunshine. She needs a special owner who can deal with her special needs. Even with her challenges, Powder has fun with the other dogs and is great around cats, too. She is a loving and wonderful companion.
