Scrappy is a lucky dog! He is a 1-year-old long haired Chihuahua mix and was rescued by us from a kill shelter on October 1st. He was suffering from luxating patellas on both hind legs and required expensive surgery. We put out a plea for help and he immediately found a foster mom to care for him, a vet surgeon to perform his surgery and waive all but procedure fees, and kind-hearted guardian angels who donated to support his treatment.
Scrappy had two surgeries on his legs and he went through a long recovery, but now he's all right. He's not a big dog, weighing in at around 8 pounds. He's been given a clean bill of health by the vet and is eager to find his forever home. He is very loving and fun too. If you are having a bad day, Scrappy will find a way to brighten your day.
Scrappy is a very friendly, happy dog. His foster mom thinks he's the best.
