This sweet puppy, about 9 months old, was found wandering the streets in west Dallas. She is currently undergoing treatment for a skin infection at Holt Veterinary but is otherwise in good condition, heartworm-negative, and has all her shots.

We believe her to be a mix of black Lab and pit. A previous rescue of this breed mixture proved to be the best dog we’ve ever taken in, so we are optimistic that Countess will develop into a fine companion. She has been loving and playful during our interactions with her. Countess already shows responsiveness to commands, so her training should progress quickly. We have not been able to take her to the dog park yet, but we will be doing that as she starts feeling better and can update you at that time.
