Nili was found at a construction site in Dallas very near the Toll Road. She was living with 2 other pups like her and 4 adult dogs. Reports from the construction crew are that the female dogs keep having babies. So Nili is a lucky one, getting out of that situation of fending for herself, having to eat scraps, and generally avoiding bigger dogs and cars. But she's not out of the woods yet, she still needs a home and someone to love her.

Nili is about 4 months old as of Mid Feb 2008. She weighs about 15 lbs and should be, judging from the apparent parents, about 45-55 lbs when full grown. Currently, Nili is a little shy, but coming out of her shell every day. For the first few days, she stayed in her dog-gloo and kept to herself; Now, she plays with other pups and even gets along with the other cats at the shelter. She's a calm puppy but may grow into her puppyness as she gets more confident. She's very sweet and likes to be pet. Please consider giving Nili the home she never would have gotten at the construction site!
