RIVER

During the cold spell in February, several animal lovers were noticed bringing food and water to a pack of dogs all ages. Gradually the number diminished as they were captured and given homes. Our kennel person had seen a couple of young dogs playing in this field. He gradually won their trust and River came bounding one day, tail wagging, expecting her dinner. Brook, on the other hand, played hard to get. But food was a strong enticement to come closer and closer until she was caught.
River is a brindle colored female which could indicate she has some Boxer in her. Her sister Brook has stronger features of a Boxer. For River life is a lot of fun. She is outgoing, playful, enjoys everybody’s company. She is in foster care with her sisters Brook and Raine. She is learning the rules of living in a house.
